Personalized baby first Christmas ornament is a must for any new mom. There's something so adorable about chubby little baby's feet and this ceramic clay reindeer footprint ornament. Capturing this special moment and make baby's first holiday really memorable with a infant memento.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Find hand and foot listing of your choice. Check description to see if this works for your child as some have age restrictions.

2. Purchase listing and go through check out and add any info in buyer's notes that are provided. ( Important)

3. Add in buyers notes that you will find at check out : child’s name you will want on plaque / ornament on front or back and age

4. I will then send out simple mold kit mailer with mold, post card, directions with order form for you to fill out (please return order form with mold) via United States postal service priority

or first class depending on weight with 1 - 3 days. During busy seasons can be up to 5 days but not the norm.

5. Receive your non toxic mold kit and take your child’s prints. Super easy soft clay that can be re used until happy. Clay only needs warmth of hands to stay soft. So you only need to knead in hands usually. after testing all types of mold clay I found this the best for softness and ability to re use over time for more prints.

6. You are welcome to send photo of your prints before setting out to dry for me to check.

7. When happy with prints please leave out to dry away from children and animals so no extra marks are left in it. Climate weather and size of mold can sometimes affect drying time. 4 - 7 days average time. Dry when it feels like a hard sponge and will not be able to press into it and leave a mark.

8. Please send back mold and order form in a box for best results to keep safe. Mailing folder packages can be used but try using bubble wrap and cardboard to sandwich mold between cardboard to keep safe. There is more risk with mailer and can possibly damage mold. Best results is to package in box using in peanuts, bubble wrap or newspaper so it does not move in box. You are responsible for molds return.

9. Once returned I will transfer to ceramic clay for a beautiful baby memento. Due to drying time and the several components to finish piece you have to have some patience before this sweet memento keepsake piece is done. Approximately 8 or more weeks after receiving mold back.

The Absolute best thing about this process I offer is I keep mold up to a year because your mold only gets better with time. You can let me know that your family just adored it and wants one as well! Or you loved so much that you want to make other ornaments b

MORE INFORMATION:

1. Ceramic clay is rolled and hand built and cut out to size.

2. Drying time can vary from 5-10 days. Ceramic clay shrinks as it dries and clay needs to be completely dry before going into the kiln. Any moisture left in the clay will make it explode while firing in the kiln.

3. Cleaning and sanding piece helps clean any rough edges before final bisque fire.

4. Bisque Firing lasts 24 hours and all Ceramic pottery pieces need to be put in the kiln for this first firing. This is when the clay is turned into hard stone. The kiln takes between 6-8 hours to reach about 1900 degrees and approximately 12 hours to cool. So all together 20 hrs or so.

5. Glaze Painting can be done several different ways - I mainly hand-paint my glazes on.

6. Glaze Firing in kiln takes 24 hours. The ceramic clay work will go in the kiln for one last firing. Kiln temperature will reach approximately 2200 degrees which turns the glaze into a glass like coating.

TURNAROUND:

10 weeks from time I receive the mold back from you.
